The Gene Essence Report™ contains the results of your DNA assessment. You can access the specific
data and graphical results for any disease or health-related condition by clicking on it. The
Adjusted Trend Values
are shown for each disease or condition. See the
How to Read This Report
for an explanation of the adjusted trend values. The summarized data in the report can be sorted by
decreasing adjusted trend value or alphabetically by condition, by clicking on
Sort by genetic susceptibility >
or
Sort by condition >
in the upper right hand corner.
The following susceptibility graph comprises your data on
conditions for which there is more than one associated SNP. Horizontal bars represent
your adjusted genetic trend. Please click on an individual bar to go to the corresponding
detail page.
The next graph comprises conditions for which there is only one
associated SNP reported. Many of the bars will be of either 100% or 0% value. Please note that these
do not represent all-or-none scenarios - this simply means that you either carry (100%) or do not
carry (0%) the associated allele. The Odds Ratio on the corresponding detail page describes how strong the association
is with a given condition. Horizontal bars represent your adjusted genetic trend. Please click
on an individual bar to go to the corresponding detail page.
This table comprises conditions for which there are no statistical data describing
how strong the association is between the SNPs and a given condition.
Presence of the associated allele means you have susceptibility for a given condition. For example, presence of a C
(associated) allele in your 'Taller stature' graph means that you have a propensity toward taller stature.
