Gene Essence Report

The Gene Essence™ Report Contains Your Personal Genetic Information.

The report is based on screening your DNA sample (isolated from the buccal test kit you provided) using the Affymetrix® Genome-wide Human SNP Array 6.0.

Your genotype has been determined for a large number of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) that have been reported in the scientific literature to be associated with a variety of diseases and health-related conditions.

The Gene Essence™ Report User Manual contains useful information and a sample report that will help you to better understand how to read and interpret your results. The SNP data in your Gene Essence™ Report can be readily accessed through several user-friendly search functions. You can search for a variety of SNP associations by disease or condition or by a specific SNP. Graphical displays provide you with your genotype along with easy-to-read information relevant to the disease or condition that is in the Gene Essence™ database. You can also access your genotype for any of the 900,000+ SNPs tested by the Affymetrix array, and links are provided to important public domain resources that can serve as a gateway for further analysis of your personal genetic information.
