Once you read and sign the Gene Essence consent form, and place an order online, you will receive your sample collection package with your unique code. You collect your cheek cells with two simple swabs, and send them back along with your code in the pre-addressed and pre-paid package. > Order Now
We analyze your DNA, generate your Report, and send you a notification.
Your DNA is extracted from your cheek cells, and put through several laboratory processes, including purification, amplification, and labeling. Your sample is then hybridized with a DNA chip, which contains 1.8 million synthetic DNA probes, nearly 1 million SNPs. The subsequent determination by the instrumentation and detection software provides your specific genotype at each SNP on the chip. > More
You review your Gene Essence™ Report online.
We send you a notification once your Report is ready. With your private login ID, you use our online Report tool to review your Report interactively. You can retrieve your genetic information linked to the latest scientific discoveries, and explore what maybe of interest to you. > More
